DON'T LET HIM IN Revive Totem: Effect, How to Get One, and Limits

What the DON'T LET HIM IN Revive Totem does, how totems appear as map pickups, its single-use and alive-only limits, and what the 'Buy the totem for 24' listing does and doesn't settle.

The Revive Totem has one job in DON'T LET HIM IN: bringing dead teammates back. The item's own description states the effect directly — "revive all fallen teammates" — and recorded play shows exactly how it's meant to work: a living player picks the totem up, carries it through the round, and uses it to bring a fallen teammate back while dead players can only wait and ask. This guide covers what the totem does, how to find one, the limits that decide whether it saves your run, and the one cost question the game itself leaves open.

What the Revive Totem does

Read the totem in-game and it tells you plainly: "revive all fallen teammates." That is the item's entire purpose — swapping a teammate's death for a second life, with the totem as the price.

It is not spent the moment you grab it. One player who collected a totem while his whole squad was still alive found it idle — "Nobody to bring back" — and realized, "so I could revive somebody who dies." You hold it until someone actually dies, then it becomes the most valuable thing you're carrying.

The living carrier is the one who revives. Holders announce it ("I got the totem"), plan their next move around it ("I can revive Saxon when we got that back"), and credit it for their safety ("Cuz I have the revive totem"). Dead players cannot do any of this themselves: dying turns you into a ghost who can drift around and scout — one ghost even set off to look for a totem "for you guys" — but who must ask the holder directly, "Can you revive me now?" In one recorded session the ghost couldn't even use game chat and could only beg his living teammates to go grab the totem.

One honest caveat on triggering it: recorded play never shows the final interaction itself — nobody demonstrates whether you walk up to the fallen player, press a prompt, or the revive simply fires when the carrier uses the totem. What's consistent is who acts: the living holder does, and the ghost depends on him. Also, the tooltip's "all fallen teammates" is broader than anything shown — the revives players actually lined up targeted one named teammate — so whether one totem revives every dead player on the map or only ones the carrier can reach isn't established.

How to get a Revive Totem

Totems appear as pickups around the map, and taking one is as simple as walking up to it — "There's one right here. Look, there's a totem right here." / "All right. I'll take you." In both recorded sessions, players collected one mid-round with no payment step at any point.

Don't expect it in the same spot twice. After one group's totem was spent, they checked the pantry where they assumed it would respawn — "Is it back in the pantry? Oh, it's not." — and found the next one outside. Spawn spots vary, so sweep the house and the grounds, and listen for teammates calling out what they spot.

Treat the shed as a maybe, not a plan. One player was confident "there's one in the shed outside," but that group couldn't open the shed door at all and gave up, deciding it was "just for decoration." Nobody demonstrates a totem actually being retrieved from the shed, so don't build your route around it.

The purchase listing is real but unexplained. The item text also offers "Buy the totem for 24," yet no currency is named anywhere and recorded play never walks through an actual purchase. Whether that 24 means Robux or in-game cash — and where the buy option even appears — isn't established.

Revive Totem limits

  • One use per totem. Once it's spent, it's gone — "we need to find the totem again," and shortly after, "can you find another revive totem?" A single pickup covers a single death, nothing more.
  • Living players only. Ghosts can search and call out locations, but picking the totem up and performing the revive both require a surviving teammate's hands.
  • It only matters once someone dies. With the whole squad alive, a totem sits idle in your inventory — still worth grabbing early so you're covered the moment someone falls.
  • No confirmed timing rules. One player speculated he could revive Saxon once "we got that back" — the power — and a ghost waiting on sunrise asked "when does it revive me?" without a clear answer. Recorded play never establishes that restoring power or surviving until morning is required for a revive, so don't count on either to trigger it.

Does the Revive Totem cost anything?

This is the question recorded play genuinely leaves unresolved, and it changes how much you should lean on the totem.

The demonstrated side: both sessions show players picking up and carrying totems without paying anything. The conflicting side, all from one session: a revive attempt was waved off with "another revive? Oh, no, that costs Robux," a holder told a dead teammate that reviving "costs money" he didn't have, and a player who expected to still be holding a totem found that, apparently, it costs Robux instead.

So the honest picture is this: totems demonstrably come off the map without a charge, but a paid prompt at the moment of an actual revival can't be ruled out, and the "24" listing's currency is unknown. Grab every totem you pass, but don't make one your group's only plan — if a payment does appear at the revive moment, a team with nothing to pay has no answer at that prompt.
